In the Default change its location to the actual location of the executable, hit okay and then try and reassociate the file type as you normally would. Add Program To Open With List Windows 7 There are more than 300 such subkeys in a basic Windows XP installation, and there could easily be two or three times that number on a system with many applications installed. I really don't want to do a recovery change. Was able to get rid of it using Mcafee, but programs got affected as I could not open them.
