Make sure you get the right joints on the opposite side of the PCB. Sorry to hit you with the bad news but resetting the processor will not fix this. I just played the Bluray 2012 and I am streaming audio(fiber optic) to my old yamaha AVR 2400 (no HD or HDMI) was suprised how much seperation I got but not Changed source and still no display. check over here
My Samsung Plama 46" fried a main board after the first 11 months. I have 3 different Yamaha products 2 AVR and one amp.Amp is 2X200watt and 20 years old and still works perfect. To get my 606 in I had to put it in sideways and then rotate it once inside. There is not much activity here but just in case anyone is interested....

When you hit the setup button it will appear on the LCD screen of the receiver but not the television like it used too. Make sure you have a SM to help you troubleshoot the problem. Looking at seperates this time as the top of the line Yamaha AVR that has 5 year warranty is very expensive. the AC voltage was ok, and there was a voltage drop on the resistor, so there should be around 100mA for the heater of the display.
Took me about 40 minutes in total, 30 of those were spent trying to get the last white retention clip off! so i purchased some 2.2 Ohm 0.6W 1% resistors for replacement. It could as easily be an HDMI issue. The 607 features six 1080p capable HDMI inputs and video upscaling from all sources up to 1080i for HDMI output so that, whatever you're watching, it'll look its best. I also despise Denon remotes. I've been hearing a lot about the 600-series' problems; fortunately, I haven't had one wrinkle with my 605 since owning it -- it's been rock solid since day one, and never Is it a common problem & anyway to get it repair? I have it on a open tv stand, so it gets plenty of air. He's a minister, and travels the world doing missionary work. Bird if your Onkyo 805 is run for as many hours a day as mine and it still works.....you are LUCKY. You'll notice some cables connecting to it and two big capacitors.
