Onkyo Receiver 1080p Not Working

Now I have gone to ps3 and manually set the output up to 1080i. I had no such problems with the components I have connected to the receiver (OPPO DVD player, cable box). i wouldn't be so quick to dismiss the Onkyo (or any other brand) because of an experience with one model. I would not mind a power increase though. For one reason or another the board does not recognize your equipment.

So, for the 605, I would definitely try running all components via HDMI cable to the receiver and then just one HDMI cable out to the TV. why not find out more I would be more happy if the amps blew, and that would be somewhat understandable as they deal with a lot of power. Time to swap it out for a Denon or Pioneer. The onkyo 606 just has a poor 1080p chip or something. Then you would only have to wait about a week.

I changed it to HBOHD, again the error, "No input selected". Eventually, the sound will kick in and I can hear it. Does anyone have any suggestions?
