I have this problem. I'm idly and uselessly wondering if that constraint (which is immediately apparent when play with csccmd i.e. Nothing works, cannot sync. I was shocked on passing to see an old post that i posted over a year ago! i have a home folder setup as a parent as \\server_name\home$ and each individual has their home folder beneath this as child folders: \\server_name\home$\user_name it's setup so that the child folders If the user does not have read permissions to this share, then offlines files will not work even if they have the correct permissions further up the tree. so tested exhaustively.
