Did this happen before you installed the chipset drivers or after? There is a conventional USB selection that allows me to enable/disable - I've disabled and enabled all - no luck there either. You can do it over an over again, if needed.

Sometimes the built-in Windows drivers just don't work... It's easy!

Apparently I had not noticed but I had slightly bent a single cpu pin on the motherboard. Do they affect credit score? So there you have it! If it is the motherboard, then as it's recently purchased, I should be able to get a replacement.
