Outlook 2013 Desktop Alert Not Working

Well I kept changing the setting but not getting the envelope. I have added the "And show a desktop alert" to all my rules... The folders you setup along with rules to have like you say facebook emails going to the facebook folder will not show desktop/email alerts as it only works for email hitting

There are other problems with Office 2010, and I've been using my "frowny face" as much as possible, so I would hope Microsoft would be listening :) (I'm especially concerned that I wanted to see the envelope icon notification in the system tray when I had unread email. No, I stopped using it. To make the "New Mail Icon" only work for "Default (LARGE) Icons" instead of "Small Icons" is pathetic. To view the message, you must open it.  Meeting request   Displays the sender, subject, date, time, and location of the meeting.  Task request   Displays the sender, subject, and start date of the assigned Exchange mail is fine and shows the new mail notification, but when I receive IMAP mail the little envelope does not appear next to the Outlook icon.
